Overview

The Professional Certificate of Business Management is a practical  introduction to the practice of business management in a contemporary, dynamic and digital context. The Professional Certificate will provide you with the critical knowledge and skills in the key business management areas. 

The Professional Certificate of Business Management is designed to enable you to efficiently learn and develop core business knowledge and the skills to manage in a contemporary business context, which is often distinguished by fast-paced change, ongoing uncertainty, the pressures of digital transformation and the need to be agile.

This course comprises two units where you will be introduced to studies in business management at a graduate level. The units are intended for students whose previous qualification is not in a cognate field.

The course comprises 12 credit points of study.

Units are 6 credit points unless otherwise stated.

Core studies (12 credit points)

You must complete two units (12 credit points) from the following:

  • LEO5001 Leadership for organisational advancement 
  • LEO5002 Strategic management for agile organisations
  • LEO5003 Innovation and new value creation 
  • LEO5004 Financial management and resource utilisation

Entry requirements

English language

Monash Level A, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test
