Monash Paramedicine is a world leader in education and research and provides you with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate core attributes pertinent to advanced practice, including professionalism, leadership, teamwork, patient-centred care, reflective practice, and advanced clinical reasoning.
This online course allows you to improve your clinical practice and knowledge in the delivery of aeromedical retrieval services, preparing you for future positions in clinical practice, leadership and coordination roles.
The development of advanced techniques and treatment regimes, coupled with an understanding of local and global aeromedical retrieval systems will enable you to provide out-of-hospital care to patients in a diverse range of situations at the highest level.

In this online course, you will develop the knowledge, skills and professional capabilities required for advanced aeromedical and retrieval practice. You will learn from and alongside clinicians from a range of professional backgrounds and consider how paramedics, nurses, physicians and other retrieval team members contribute to safe, coordinated and patient-centred care. You will deepen and refine your practice in preparation for advanced clinical, leadership and coordination roles within retrieval and aeromedical teams.
By the end of this course, you will develop advanced knowledge of contemporary clinical practice, clinical decision-making, patient preparation and transport, and the coordination frameworks that underpin local and global retrieval systems. You will be equipped to contribute meaningfully to high-performing multidisciplinary teams, delivering expert care to patients in complex, resource-limited and time-critical clinical, retrieval and transport settings.
