Overview
This course is designed for you if you aspire to be a leader in creating social change. Combining global studies with studies in fundamental science will give you the skill set to understand the complex challenges facing cultures and communities around the world and the opportunity to apply your knowledge to affect change.
This double degree offers flexibility and choice through a wide selection of science majors and global studies specialist knowledge areas. You will broaden your horizons through international experiences.
This flexibility of choice allows you to explore new areas, utilise your critical thinking and analytical skills, further develop your strengths and pursue your own interests. Core units focusing on leadership development, a broad range of multidisciplinary electives and the compulsory overseas study component underpins a focus on the practical application of knowledge and skills to real life scenarios.
Overseas study costs
This course includes a compulsory overseas study component which can be met through any combination of overseas study including: the Global Immersion Guarantee, Global Campus Intensives, exchange or study abroad or any international study tour units. There are a range of overseas study options and students should refer to the faculty's study abroad webpage for more information including additional costs, as well as opportunities for funding*.
