Bachelor of Global Studies
A2001
Overview
How can we conceptualise the most important challenges confronting our global communities, devise new and innovative solutions to these challenges, and communicate the solutions effectively? The Bachelor of Global Studies course is designed for you, if you seek to be a leader in addressing these global challenges.
This course aims to develop your leadership for social change by focusing on key capabilities: creativity, teamwork, intercultural collaboration, critical thinking, self-learning, and strong analytical and writing skills. You will cultivate a rich understanding of the interplay between local, regional, and global forces, equipping yourself with sharp analytical abilities and flexible, imaginative, and well-informed disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches. All core units will allow you to apply your learning in practical and professional 'real life' contexts.
A key component of the course is a required period of study overseas, which you can complete intensively at a Monash international campus or at a prestigious partner university.
Global mobility is a compulsory component of the course. You can select from a wide range of physical and virtual mobility experiences. Students should refer to the faculty's study abroad webpage for more information including additional costs, as well as opportunities for funding.
