This course will provide you with knowledge, tools and frameworks to implement innovative responses to our sustainability challenges. The units respectively deal with innovation and change on the individual, organisational and systems level, within the context of sustainability. The course is aimed at a diversity of sectors, ranging from business to public and non-for-profit sectors.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that you will be able to:

Demonstrate a broad knowledge of sustainability challenges, in particular climate change, and the interdependence of society, the economy and the environment

Analyse complex challenges using behavioural insights, organisational impact analyses and system thinking

Evaluate social and organisational theories and models of change, as well as innovative organisational responses, to highlight pathways to sustainability

Integrate creative thinking and evidence based approaches to design practical solutions that can achieve behavioural, organisational and/or systems change

Work collaboratively with people from varied backgrounds, incorporating a diversity of worldviews

Create support for change initiatives through effective communication

Monash minimum: Level A, that is: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0); or Pearson Test of English (Academic): score of 58 overall with no band lower than 50; or TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 21, Listening: 12, Reading: 13 and Speaking: 18; or Equivalent approved English test
