The weekly workload requirements will be:

  • Two hours of attendance at weekly workshops.
  • Approximately 10 hours per week of independent study.

This unit aims to introduce research methods in Data Science to advanced students in preparation for the research project that they will complete in the second semester of the Honours year.

You will attend workshops where you will be introduced to research methods and critical analysis of literature. You will then apply this knowledge through regular critical reviews and informal presentations on important papers in the scientific literature (LO1-LO5).
