Synopsis
This unit examines regulatory forces that shape the development and evolution of digital media. Looking in detail at major policy issues arising from digital media industries, the unit engages with important contemporary debates about internet access, user data, privacy, online content, business models and industry structures. Using global case studies, you will develop the skills necessary to understand the interplay between technology and policy, and gain the capacity to anticipate and evaluate future trends in the regulation of digital media.
