Synopsis

Indonesia has the largest digital economy in Southeast Asia, and digital transformation is central to the government’s National Development Plan. In this unit, you will learn emerging from the digital space, where policies and regulations must respond rapidly to the disruptive effects of new technologies and platforms. The unit will address the challenges of designing policies that work at scale and that balance the needs of stakeholders across industry and society. You will examine major public policy debates, exploring topics such as AI safety, data privacy, social media misinformation, and digital geopolitics.
