A6028 Master of Public Policy students will need permission from their course coordinator and Student Services to enrol in this unit
Overview
Indonesia has the largest digital economy in Southeast Asia, and digital transformation is central to the government’s National Development Plan. In this unit, students will learn how to public problems emerging from the digital space, where policies and regulations must respond rapidly to the to the disruptive effects of new technologies and platforms. The unit will address the challenges of designing policies that work at scale and that balance the needs of stakeholders across industry and society. It will cover major public policy debates, exploring topics such as big data, smart cities, the rural/urban digital divide social media and artificial intelligence.
