Synopsis
In this unit, you will extend your exploration of fundamental concepts in popular music practice by undertaking a study of diverse repertoire across a variety of styles and genres. You will examine the basics of stagecraft, including stage set-up, sound systems, microphone technique, performance anxiety, as well as the basic ecosystems of the music industries. You will continue your small ensemble work using audio-visual recordings in your practice and develop your self-reflective skills via peer feedback, enhancing your skills in self-directed practice.
