Overview
In this unit students revisit and expand on their knowledge of media and communications developed in Level 1 and 2 units. It requires students to deepen and apply specific knowledge of gender, race and media practices to contemporary debates or problems. Students will examine significant debates and theories relating to gender, race and media practices. Through a combination of directed reading and research, students will develop a high level of competence in theoretical analysis of racialised and gendered media industries and practices.
