Synopsis

This unit exposes you to the differences between companies, trusts considering their creation, operation and the potential legal liability of their participants and stakeholders. Within this content, the effects of external regulation and internal company rules affecting company directors and investors will be covered, enabling you to learn how companies operate and are managed, with particular emphasis on the duties and legal obligations of company officers. This unit also provides you with an understanding of how companies’ raising of capital is regulated, the legal remedies for dissatisfied investors in companies, and forms of corporate insolvency administration.
