When you finish this unit, you should be able to:

apply economic principles to explain and analyse economic decisions

explain the nature and the role of theory and models in economic analysis, and use them to describe individual behaviour as well as the main features and outcomes of various market structures

critically evaluate the effects of government policy on economic issues, including social welfare, market efficiency, and international trade

proceed to the study of other economics and commerce course units that have a knowledge of introductory microeconomics as a prerequisite.
Workload and teaching
