Overview
MED5105 is focused on facilitating the transition of students into the medical workplace as beginning interns. Students will participate in a range of learning experiences which are designed to substantially enhance their clinical reasoning, diagnostic and case management skills. Students will participate in supervised clinical practice and related learning activities (learning modules). Students will have the opportunity to select discipline specialty area for one clinical placement rotation to enhance their experience and development of knowledge and skills in a particular area of clinical practice.

Workload and teaching
The workload for this unit is 576 hours comprised of learning activities in clinical settings (5 x 6 week block placements) including work-based learning activities (such as ward rounds, clinical attendance and case meetings), seminars, tutorials, workshops, prescribed directed learning modules and private study.
