Overview

The overall aim of this unit is to introduce you to the range of activities associated with the management of individuals, groups and the organisation. In order to achieve this aim the content will cover several key areas of management. For example, the current challenges facing managers in a turbulent environment, the role of the individual, the importance of teamwork, managing conflict and effective decision making. Finally the role of corporate culture and ethics. By undertaking this unit, you should expect to experience a variety of activities in order to challenge the content as prescribed above. These activities will include interactive case studies and application of the theory to 'real' world examples through group presentations.
