Synopsis
Cardiac nursing requires specialised knowledge and advanced clinical skills essential to work in a variety of specialist cardiac settings. In this unit you will develop a comprehensive knowledge of the pathophysiology, epidemiology, assessment and management of patients with cardiovascular disease, associated respiratory conditions and comorbidities. This unit will enable you to develop specialist cardiac nursing knowledge and clinical skills to provide comprehensive person-centred, evidence-based care. You will also further develop your teamwork and leadership skills in the practice of cardiac nursing.
