Synopsis
In this unit you will build on and extend upon your knowledge and skills that have been gained from previous studies. The aim of this unit is to develop advanced knowledge and practice skills when caring for patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions.
You will learn about evidence-based management of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. This will include nursing care in relation to advanced monitoring and therapeutics, surgical and other procedural interventions, structural heart disease, complex arrhythmias, and culturally diverse and priority populations.
You will practice and exemplify leadership and teamwork skills as a cardiac nurse.
