Synopsis
This unit will develop research skills of students and prepared you for the final year unit - Applied Research in Nutrition.
You will be exposed to steps in conducting research in nutrition, including appraisal of scientific evidence, formulating research questions, hypotheses and objectives, selecting appropriate study design and sample size calculation, research ethics consideration, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and conduct basic statistical analysis. You will be able to demonstrate your research skills on a self-selected research project and your progress will be monitored by a supervisor.
