Synopsis
This unit introduces you to an advanced level of knowledge and skill related to the critical care management of patients with complex respiratory conditions and airway emergencies. In this unit you will be learning about specific topics relating to the respiratory system inclusive of anatomy and physiology, disease and pathologies, and advanced respiratory assessments.
Additionally you will expand on your management of critical airway and respiratory emergencies. Throughout this unit you will also engage with research evidence and utilise clinical knowledge and judgement to enable safe practices.
You must be actively engaged in appropriate clinical practice or clinical simulation to achieve the outcomes of this unit.
