Synopsis
Positive psychology is the ‘science of a life well-lived’. In this unit, you will learn about a range of concepts and theories related to the science of well-being, such as positive emotions, relationships, acts of kindness, and getting into the flow state. You will get to explore tools that positive psychology offers, including measures of well-being, and practices that assist people to move towards a more flourishing life. You will engage in personal evaluations of and reflections on your character strengths and virtues. You will work in groups on a social media project to examine scientific approaches to well-being, and engage in debates and discussions on contemporary issues related to positive psychology.
