Synopsis
This unit introduces you to the business, marketing and management principles required for the successful operation of an allied health business. The concepts of microeconomics and entrepreneurship are introduced and applied to healthcare professionals.
The influence and requirements of funding models including private health insurance, Medicare, TAC, Workcover, DVA and NDIS will be analysed with respect to their impact on a business. The clinical and operational governance structures within a range of health care settings will also be compared.
This unit will also allow you to consolidate context-specific pre-employment information and processes required for employment including legal and contractual considerations.
