Overview
This is a research project unit designed for students who are focused on developing a career in international tourism marketing and destination development.
The centre piece of this unit is an European study tour to the Baltic states of Estonia and Latvia where students will study the internationalisation process of these fast growing tourism economies. Pre-departure classes in Melbourne are supported by a specifically designed industry seminar and site visit program in Tallinn, Estonia and Riga, Latvia highlighting the development and marketing of the nations as international tourism destinations.
Learning in this global context combines with theoretical approaches to give context to student-led research projects.
