Synopsis
In this unit, you explore the complex relationship between media and audiences, users and consumers. You examine key qualitative methods for researching media audiences in order to analyse how audience experiences, agency, participation, power and influence have been theorised within media, communications and cultural studies. You will develop a critical and practical understanding of media audiences, including key theories, issues, methods and metrics for contemporary audience research.
