CDS3001

Synopsis

This unit provides an advanced exploration of communication design systems and processes, guiding you to refine your craft, technical, and conceptual skills. With an emphasis on practical application, you will engage in sophisticated studio projects that demonstrate high-level competency in practice-based research and creative problem solving to generate impactful designs that resonate with defined audiences. As part of developing a reflective practice, you will be challenged to engage critically with your work and develop a robust understanding of how your design choices can influence and shape cultural and social narratives. As part of this unit, you will select a specialisation practice and develop deep knowledge in a specific design area. Through this specialisation, you will explore your strengths and preferences within the field, exploring and developing your personal and professional identity as a designer.
