EDF5572

Synopsis

This unit focuses on the selection, application, and evaluation of psychological, social, behavioural, and educational interventions for systems (including and organisations such as schools) and groups. Prevention and systems frameworks, and therapeutic interventions for working with groups will be identified, selected and critically appraised. You will learn to distinguish between different frameworks and interventions for families, schools and groups, apply micro-counselling skills and evaluate issues related to group-based intervention and support, evaluate and synthesise frameworks and programs for group interventions, and critically reflect on professional practice and evaluate group intervention outcomes. This unit supports the translation of theory into practice and provides opportunities for you to work collaboratively with peers and develop applied skills through professional experience.
