Overview
This clinical unit focuses on preparing students for the transition to practice as a registered nurse. The unit is grounded in adult learning principles, encouraging the student to be self-directed in identifying their learning needs. In preparing the student for the transition to health professional, the unit explores teamwork, inter-professional practice, resilience, self-management and emotional intelligence. The unit is informed by national clinical priority issues: communication, medication safety and care of the deteriorating patient.
