Overview

A major* in music allows you to develop the necessary critical, analytical and interpretive skills to investigate various areas of music, including western art music, jazz and improvisation, popular music, and music from diverse cultures as well as opportunities to pursue practices related to the music industry. Furthermore, you may choose to participate in a range of music ensembles through the Ensemble Studies units, some of which are subject to audition, and undertake overseas study units. The major* in music within the Bachelor of Arts is available to students with no prior music experience.

Rules
No more than 12 credit points at Level 1 may be credited to the major and at least 18 credit points must be at Level 3.
