The Master of Business Information Systems is a postgraduate degree that prepares you for a career in an information systems field such as business/system analyst, IT/IS consultant, IT product/project manager, and information manager.

The rapidly changing business and technology landscape entails constant digital innovations. Offered by the Faculty of IT (the only faculty within Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight universities dedicated to IT), MBIS is specifically designed to enhance and update your knowledge and skills on the emerging technology and their business applications, the design and management of digital innovations, as well as the socio-technical dynamics of changes.

MBIS is distinctive in its holistic emphasis on two key pillars, namely strategic, transformational and ethical information systems, and information systems innovation, design and analytics.

The course will offer state-of-the-art conceptual frameworks to make sense of digital innovation and disruptions, as well as the practical tools and techniques for hands-on application to complex problems. The course offers an industry experience project where you have the opportunity to interact with experienced IT professionals, and work in a multidisciplinary team with other postgraduate students from the Faculty of IT.
