Advanced professional experience

In preparation for your placement project, in the first half of this full year unit, you will participate in activities to develop your job seeking and career planning skills, for example, writing resumes, job applications and cover letters, and practising interview techniques.

In the second half of this full year unit, you will complete a compulsory placement to complete a hands-on project at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (MIPS) under the supervision of an academic staff member and/or research mentor. Placements will usually take place on a full-time basis from July to August, subject to supervisor availability.

The research project will give you the opportunity to expand your scientific understanding and laboratory skills and to practice your ability to work in a professional environment.
