Immersive environments
FIT2169
Synopsis
Build playable levels where sound, space, and story come together. This unit introduces the principles and techniques of immersive environment design using game engine prototyping tools. Building on the 3D modelling and texturing skills developed in FIT1033 - Foundations of 3D, you will learn how to deploy assets within a game engine to construct expansive, explorable environments. You will bring your environments to life with soundscapes, lighting, and basic interactive elements that support narrative and player engagement. Upon completion of this unit, you will have produced a series of interactive game-level prototypes, drawing inspiration from a range of historical and contemporary sources.
