Synopsis

This unit will prepare you for your pharmacy internship by building on your understanding of the ethical and legal principles and legislation relevant to pharmacy practice, healthcare system and health policy, quality use of medicines, collaborative disease management, dispensing, extemporaneous preparations, pharmaceutical calculations, cultural capability,. You will learn about digital health, environmentally sustainable practice, screening and point of care testing, medication management, pharmacoeconomics, personal management and pharmacy management. You will apply your clinical and professional knowledge from previous units to further develop their communication skills, critical thinking and teamwork skills using a series of relevant practice-based scenarios, case studies, and problem-based learning approaches.
