Spatial design studio 4
SDN3001
Synopsis
In this unit, you will focus on spatial advocacy and social contexts through an empathetic and situated approach. You will explore the ways spatial design practice relates to and influences justice, resilience, and equity through examining critical social, political, economic, and environmental issues. You will develop your own ways of working with materials and construction in a manner that supports these ideas, and build competency in designing experiences and in effective communication of conceptual thinking that expands beyond utilitarian, problem-solving design. You will learn to collaborate empathetically with experts, communities, and stakeholders within your project area.
