Overview
Sustainability and responsible management delivers the strategic frameworks, systems practice, and ethical capabilities required to navigate planetary boundaries, lead climate transitions, and engage with socio-environmental complexity. The major synthesises foundations in corporate governance, circular economics, environmental law, and ESG metrics. Through industry-aligned assessments, you develop practical strengths in critical problem-solving and collaborative leadership. Building technical proficiency in the responsible deployment of AI, carbon tracking, or sustainability analytics, you will be prepared for diverse professional paths. You'll be equipped to lead transformation across corporate ESG strategy, sustainable ventures, or impactful local and global innovation initiatives.

Sustainability and responsible management is listed in B2000 Bachelor of Business at Caulfield and B2001 Bachelor of Commerce at Clayton as a major and minor and in B2026 Bachelor of Business and Commerce at Malaysia as a minor.
Note for Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Commerce students: Travel to another campus may be required, as you are able to select units offered at the Caulfield and Clayton campuses.

Rules
You must complete 48 credit points comprising:
- 12 credit points of core units; and
- 36 credit points of specified discipline units.

- up to 12 credit points from any units from another faculty with a sustainability or environmental focus or Study Abroad unit with a sustainability or environmental focus, as approved by the Course Director.
