Overview
This double degree combination offers you genuine breadth of choice, with 39 majors and minors across the arts, humanities and social sciences available to complement your studies in marketing.
You'll develop marketing skills that can be used in the media industry, and you will also establish a strategic and critical understanding of written, visual and audio communication - and how to apply these skills. By studying complementary subjects, you'll also build on your entrepreneurial expertise and gain practical skills to prepare you for the workplace. With the majors on offer, not only will you have plenty of flexibility and choice, but also a world of opportunity ahead of you.
Marketing will provide you with the analytic, creative and strategic skills to be a specialist marketer. You will gain comprehensive marketing knowledge, and be able to use this to make marketing decisions that drive value in business.

Marketing
B2036 Bachelor of Marketing is a specialist course structured in four parts. In the double degree you complete:
Part A. Core studies
This will provide you with a study of marketing and the impact they have on decision making in organisations.
Part B. Discipline studies
These studies will develop your capacity as a critical and creative professional who is able to apply your knowledge of marketing to provide discipline-based solutions for business. Units contained within the discipline may meet the requirements for professional accreditation bodies.
Part C. Capstone studies
The capstone unit will consolidate your knowledge and skills acquired through the study of your discipline and provide experience in multi-disciplinary processes and decision making.
Arts
A2000 Bachelor of Arts is a comprehensive course, structured in three equal parts. In the double degree course you complete:
Part A. Major studies
This will provide you with a focused program of study that will develop your practical and theoretical skills and knowledge in one Faculty of Arts listed major area of study. You will learn to critically analyse, apply and communicate an advanced level of understanding of the concepts and theoretical frameworks that constitute the knowledge base of the area of study.
Part B. Specified studies
This will expose you to several arts disciplines contributing breadth to your knowledge of the arts, humanities and social sciences. You will have the flexibility of learning about several areas of study before finalising your choice of major. You will also build skills and abilities that employers value and seek by completing units from the Professional Futures domain.

You must complete 192 credit points, of which 96 credit points are from the Bachelor of Marketing (including all the requirements in Part A, B and C for the single degree) and 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts (including all the requirements in Part A and B for the single degree).
You can enrich your degree to hone your academic and professional skills with a range of Flagship Rich Educational Experiences (FREE), including the Research, Experimentation and Discovery, Monash Innovation Guarantee, Global Immersion Guarantee and Volunteering. These flagship rich educational experience units may be credited towards your degree if approved by the faculty. There are both 6 and 12 credit point unit options available.

All applicants must satisfy the equivalence of the VCE subject prerequisites.
VET Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma graduates:
Applicants will require a minimum 60% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not be sufficient to meet admission requirements.

Diploma of Business Part 2 average: 60%
Monash University Foundation Year average: 70%
Higher education studies:
Applicants will require a minimum 60% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course. A minimum of two single units must be completed in order to meet minimum admission requirements.
