Overview

Through Monash’s minor in European Languages you will study one of French, German, Italian and Spanish and Latin American studies.

Studying European Languages in a global context with us will provide an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the interconnections between different European languages and cultures,  the global impact of Europe over time, and how European and other cultures and societies across the globe have challenged and deeply influenced each other.

There is a growing need for professionals with excellent language and cultural skills. English alone is just not enough. Employers seek people with a real ability to communicate and translate across languages, cultures and societies. We provide our you with knowledge and skills that are applicable to a great variety of careers in business, government, NGOs, education, communication, and the cultural sector.
