Overview

The Bachelor of Digital Business course aims to foster innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness in the contemporary digital landscape by providing a comprehensive understanding of digital technologies and their applications in the business world. You must complete units as specified in Parts A, B and C (144 credit points): including 96 credit points of study in Parts A and B and 48 credit points of electives in Part C.

In choosing your units, you must ensure that you complete no more than 60 credit points at unit Level 1 and at least 36 credit points at unit Level 3, including 24 credit points at unit Level 3 offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics.

- Units from across the University, which may be used to complete a major or minor from another course, provided you have met the relevant prerequisites and there are no enrolment restrictions.

The handbook's description of this structure

Bachelor of Digital Business is structured in three parts: Part A. Core studies, Part B. Discipline studies and Part C. Elective studies.

Part A. Core studies

These units will develop your capacity as a critical, creative and ethical professional. With an emphasis on decision-making and the management of digitalisation within organisations, you will be proficient in utilising your extensive knowledge of digital business to formulate solutions for business challenges.

Part B. Discipline studies

These additional units will allow you to delve deeper into areas of interest. The units present an avenue for you to enhance your expertise and understanding within a distinct functional domain, thus providing a comprehensive insight into the implementation of digitalisation tailored to specific business functions. Some units are highly immersive and offer you the opportunity to leverage digital skills to address societal or business problems.

Part C. Elective studies

These are electives which will enable you to further your knowledge of digital business, or business more broadly, or to select units from across the University in which you are eligible to enrol.

- You must complete either ECX2953, or both ECF1100 and ECF1200.
- If you choose to complete both ECF1100 and ECF1200, these units count in place of ECX2953 only. All other Part A requirements must still be completed. You will therefore complete 90 credit points in total for this Part, which will reduce your Part B requirement to 6 credit points.

Applicants will require a minimum of 60% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related the the course. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not meet the admission requirements.

Applicants will require a minimum 60% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course. A minimum of two single units must be completed in order to meet minimum admission requirements.
