The course is built around deeply enriching experiences, including local and international internships, professional engagements and entrepreneurial opportunities, and the choice of over fifty global immersion programs. The Bachelor of Arts has four Professional Futures domains which build skills and abilities that employers value and seek; Global Immersions, Intercultural expertise, Professional experience and Innovation capability.

The Bachelor of Global Studies aims to develop your leadership for social change by focusing on key capabilities: creativity, teamwork, intercultural collaboration, critical thinking, self-learning, and strong analytical and writing skills. You will cultivate a rich understanding of the interplay between local, regional, and global forces, equipping yourself with sharp analytical abilities and flexible, imaginative, and well-informed disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches. All core units will allow you to apply your learning in practical and professional contexts.

A key component of the course is a required period of study overseas, which you can complete intensively at a Monash international campus or at a prestigious partner university.

Global mobility is a compulsory component of the course. You can select from a wide range of physical and virtual mobility experiences. Students should refer to the faculty's study abroad webpage for more information including additional costs, as well as opportunities for funding.

You’ll gain all the benefits of each degree course and be fully equipped to pursue a career in either field separately or to combine the two in your chosen work.
