Overview
Every industry needs people with strong business skills to manage and improve the day-to-day operations of organisations. To keep up with growing industry needs, companies are looking for graduates with strong business administration skills. Business Administration is the coordination of business functions and activities. In the Bachelor of Business Administration, you will build a sound conceptual and theoretical foundation from which you can build essential skills for a career in business. You will learn about core business functions and how they are coordinated to achieve business goals whilst having the opportunity to specialise in more than one business discipline. The BBA provides a unique environment with a close connection to teaching staff and other students and opportunities to develop ethical and socially responsible communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to succeed in a competitive and diverse world. Many subjects provide practical experience, real-world case-based projects, collaborative learning, interaction with experts from industry, and job-ready skills. This degree will equip you for careers in public-sector and private enterprises.

You will complete one major in the Bachelor of Business Administration (B2007). You may also complete an additional major within the Bachelor of Business Administration, using your electives. Some majors and minors include the same units. Where this occurs, up to 12 credit points may be shared between:
- two majors; or
- a major and a minor.
Note: Units can only count toward one minor. They cannot be shared across multiple minors.

The handbook's description of this structure
This is a comprehensive course, structured in four parts:
Part A. Core studies
These studies will provide you with a broad foundation for your study of business and expose you to several business disciplines. It will contribute breadth to your knowledge of business and develop your understanding of multi-disciplinary decision making in organisations. It will also give you the opportunity to learn more about each discipline before finalising your choice of major.
Part B. Major studies
Your major studies will provide you with a focused program of study that will develop your expertise. You will develop, apply and communicate an advanced level of understanding of the concepts and theoretical frameworks that constitute the knowledge base of your major area of study.
Part C. Capstone studies
This is designed to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the study of your major.
Part D. Elective studies
This will enable you to further develop your knowledge of your chosen major, or business more broadly, or study a second business major. Alternatively you can select units from across the University in which you are eligible to enrol.
Course progression map
The course progression map provides guidance on unit enrolment for each semester of study.
You must complete units as specified in Parts A, B, C and D (144 credit points): a minimum of 96 credit points of business study over Part A, B and C, and 48 credit points of electives in Part D.
In choosing your units you must ensure that you complete no more than ten units (60 credit points) at level 1 and that you complete at least six units (36 credit points) at level 3 of which at least four units (24 points) are Bachelor of Business Administration listed units from the Peninsula campus.
You will complete one major in the Bachelor of Business Administration (B2007). You may also complete an additional major within the Bachelor of Business Administration, using your electives. Some majors and minors include the same units. Where this occurs, up to 12 credit points may be shared between:

Part B. Major studies (48 credit points)
You must complete at least one business-listed major from the Peninsula campus. The major comprises 48 credit points, with no more than 12 credit points at unit level 1 and at least 18 credit points at unit level 3.

Applicants will require a minimum 50% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not be sufficient to meet admission requirements.
