By studying business and arts together you are opening up a world of opportunity. The course enables you to study complementary subjects to help improve your employability, and develop core business skills that can be used in artistic arenas. It's also a great combination if you haven't decided on a career just yet, because it gives you the best of both worlds.
With this double degree, you'll have genuine diversity of choice, with more than 50 majors and minors on offer. Combine criminology and accounting to give you the skills to pursue a career as a forensic investigator; mix psychology and human resource management to pursue a business career that focuses on understanding how people think; or group business law and theatre studies to give you an edge in the film and entertainment industries.

Note: If you are completing the Accounting major as part of this double degree, ECX2953 is required to meet professional accreditation requirements. You can complete ECX2953 in Part A instead of ECF1100 and will not be required to complete ECF1200.

You must complete no more than 36 credit points of Level 1 Arts units and at least 36 credit points at Level 3 of which at least 24 credit points must be Arts units.

Business
B2000 Bachelor of Business is a comprehensive course, structured in four parts. In this double degree course you complete:
Part A. Core studies
These studies will provide you with a broad foundation for your study of business and expose you to several business disciplines. It will contribute breadth to your knowledge of business and develop your understanding of multi-disciplinary decision making in organisations. It will also give you the opportunity to learn more about each discipline before finalising your choice of major.
Part B. Major studies
Your major studies will provide you with a focused program of study that will develop your expertise in one discipline area. You will develop, apply and communicate an advanced level of understanding of the concepts and theoretical frameworks that constitute the knowledge base of your major area of study.
Part C. Capstone studies
This is designed to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the study of your major.
Arts
A2000 Bachelor of Arts is a comprehensive course, structured in three equal parts. In this double degree course you complete:
Part A. Major studies
These units will provide you with a focused program of study that will develop your practical and theoretical skills and knowledge in one Faculty of Arts listed major area of study. You will learn to critically analyse, apply and communicate an advanced level of understanding of the concepts and theoretical frameworks that constitute the knowledge base of the area of study.
Part B. Specified studies
These units provide you with high quality, in-class student experiences that support a broader sense of belonging within and across the Bachelor of Arts. Through these studies you will develop:
graduate attributes in a broad base of knowledge of the humanities, social sciences and creative arts and industries;
a global perspective in the application of that knowledge, especially focused on social, cultural and political change; and
interdisciplinary teamwork, digital and communication upskilling focused on sharpening skills for future workplaces and global leadership.

You must complete 192 credit points, of which 96 credit points are from the Bachelor of Business (including all the requirements in Part A, B and C for the single degree) and 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts (including all the requirements in Part A and B for the single degree).
In this double degree, you will complete one major from the Bachelor of Business (B2000) and one major from the Bachelor of Arts (A2000). Some majors, minors and specialisations include the same units. Where this occurs, up to 12 credit points may be shared between:
two majors; or
a major and a minor; or
a specialisation and a major or minor.

You must complete 96 credit points, including all of the requirements in Part A, Part B and Part C, for the Bachelor of Business.

VET Certificate IV, Diploma or Diploma of Advanced Diploma studies:
Applicants will require a minimum 60% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not be sufficient to meet admission requirements.

Higher education studies:
Applicants will require a minimum 60% average to be considered for selection. Preference will be given to applicants whose prior studies are related to the course. A minimum of two single units must be completed in order to meet minimum admission requirements.
